i knew apostasy was a serious concern for the org, but until i watched this video, i had no idea how afraid they actually were.
all this guy wants is to do is not turn in his fs hours and immediately they (elders) set about drilling him about who are what influenced his decision, as if he was incapable of making his own (which as the elders confirm, in the org is highly discouraged).
they are convinced he has been communicating with apostates or visiting apostate web sites.

"So, while people will argue about whether that should be their right to distribute their crap, please try to understand that there is a governmental responsibility to regulate free speech."
I believe the line is crossed when the religious blather encourages people to kill others for their beliefs. This is an example (1:45 and 7:45 second mark.):

That's a big difference from the Watchtower murder fantasies.

SimonSays:
"Pray Tell: has tracked the story of Bishop Erwin Kräutler’s meeting with Pope Francis about the severe priesthood shortage and mandatory celibacy in Brazil, and Francis’ suggestion that the bishops of Brazil set up commission to make suggestions to Rome for a solution."
I don't know why you got off topic on this subject of priesthood shortage for the Roman Catholic Church but just to remind you the JWs have a severe elder/ministerial servant shortage. Think of pot and kettle.
"Either way, all religion will be attacked. You know very well."
That Watchtower prophecy about "Babylon the Great" being attacked by the UN is about as credible as the end coming within the lifetime of those living in 1914. It will never happen.
"So who has what percent is meaningless. it's about good verses evil."
You brought out percentages but now you say their meaningless.
"Will see who was right at the end."
The end of what? Your life?
"As you said in a different thread. Something to look forward to in my death bed, right!"
I hope you're younger than me.
hi there.
please take a moment to review the following information:.

SimonSays:
"...since the Pontiff Francis is making the pitch, I guess you would need to email him to let him know that we live in the 21 century."
I know that you know the significance of what I said. Your quote from Pope Francis has an uncanny resemblance to what I heard in the 1970s.

SimonSays, I remember an almost identical quote on Catholics converting to JWs as far back as 40 years ago. It's an old quote that's been refurbished. In any case 10,000 is a trivial number if you bother to think about it. (Hint: It's .001% of all Catholics)
Meanwhile the winner in overall increase (according to your poll) is:

SimonSays, you are cutting and repasting the same thing. Don't you have something else to say other than that tired (decades) old quote?
As for people converting from one religion to the next there are, as OUTLAW showed, a large proportion of JWs who leave the Watchtower. Some of them become very religious. Perry who posts here is an example of JW converted to fundamentalist Christianity.
The mere fact that you come to this forum to engage in your troll attacks is because the Witnesses are hemorrhaging members by the tens of thousands in the US.

GodZoo:
"Maybe the Russian Government see Jehovah's Witness extremism coming from them teaching people that every worldly government will soon be completely destroyed and for people to put no faith in them what so ever. The sect’s leaders have continually denounced all other religions and all secular governments as tools of the devil, demanded they refrain from all pledges of allegiance to earthly governments and have historically displayed of contempt for “Satan’s world,” which included all other religions and all secular governments."
Christianity did all of those things in the first century.
"Perhaps they don't think it healthy or beneficial to have such a group of people expounding their rather extreme anti-government ideas so freely among their people."
That's the same thing that an otherwise religiously tolerant Roman empire did with Christianity when they discovered that they were "haters of humanity".
